Michael Russell MSP launches iPhone app

Michael Russell MSP for Argyle and Bute, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, has launched an iPhone / iPad app.

Is this the first app launched by a UK politician?

Number 10 has an app, but I am treating this as generic, I’m assuming that it is for the role of Prime Minister and not the incumbent. Political parties have apps but this is the first one I can recall seeing for a member of a  parliament or assembly. Continue reading

Good bye free Google Apps

Google Apps Cloud LogoGoogle have announced that their Google Apps offering will no longer have a free version. Anyone who wants to sign up to use Google Apps from today will need to pay £3.30 per E-mail address. It is important to note that if you already use Google Apps for your E-mail on a free package that will remain free (for now?).
