I read The Hyperlocal Landgrab article over on the New Statesman site, I have tried to post a response to the article twice without success. I’m not sure if the comments go to moderation and get deleted for being dismissive of the piece or what, so for the benefit of whoever I have copied my response here.

UK Street Level Crime Mapping Goes Live

This morning, well last night actually, www.police.uk went live.

Police.uk allows you to look at crime data by place name postcode or address, so really handy if you are looking to move, but also quite a handy content idea for your Hyperlocal site. It can also give a maybe unfair view of an area.
