I've just been reading the Scotland's Towns Partnership document on Digital Guidance for Scottish Towns. Actually, this isn't just relevant to Scottish towns, but pretty much any town.
There are some really smart ideas and case studies in the document that can be used to really invigorate your local town if implemented correctly.
In a time of cuts and little or no investment in some areas, I think it is time for local towns, communities and business associations to step up to the plate and do more to boost their local economies.
Towns really have to work at becoming a destination for visitors and tourists and not just a necessity for the local community.
You can read the document here on the Scotland's Town Partnership website. Being a digital town isn't about using Facebook, it is far more than that.
I'm more than happy to talk to people and groups about how we could implement some of these ideas locally.
