I passed Turriff Library this morning and stopped to look at the work Aberdeenshire Council have done there.
All the trees and bushes on the right of the door are now gone and there is a new, for want of a better word, patio laid. It was nice to see that after I put Aberdeenshire Council and the Round Table in touch with each other, they spoke about the Christmas Tree holder which was designed in to the new area..
A new wall has been built with recycled red stone to match the building and surroundings.
I think this could make a great outdoor seating & reading area, with some seats and maybe tables placed in the new space. I didn’t check while I was there but some WiFi from the library would be a nice useful addition for people.
It’s nice to see that paving flags have been recycled in the area, I even quite like the angel cat 🙂
